In case you haven’t heard! We have lowered the minimum age required to be a derby girl! If you are 18 years old, you can skate with the Grand Raggidy Roller Girls!

That’s right! We are currently recruiting females age 18 and older to join in the fastest growing women’s sport in history known as Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby!

New to the sport of roller derby? Not sure if you’ve got what it takes to be a roller derby girl?  There is only one way to find out!  Lace up your skates, put a smile on your face and attend our two week basic training clinic for FREE! Basic Training will give you the opportunity to meet the members of GRRG up close and personal. You will be skating with some of the top skaters in the state and even skaters who played alongside Ellen Paige and Drew Barrymore in the upcoming movie Whip It! How cool is that?

We’ll introduce to the sport of roller derby, including the rules of the game and how its played, what equipment you will need and tons of support and encouragement to get you on your way to becoming a derby girl! We give you all need to get rolling and on track to becoming a roller derby legend!

Our next Basic Training Clinic begins on Sunday, September 27, 2009. For more information on this clinic send an email to contact@grandraggidyrollergirls.com to let us know you’re interested. We look forward to meeting you and showing you the derby way!

Not interested in skating but want to help out? You can be referee or volunteer starting at the age of 18 as well. Referees and volunteers can be men or women!
