Grand Raggidy All Stars vs Minnesota Roller Girls — Saturday, April 25
The Grand Raggidy Roller Girls are hosting their third home game of the season versus Minnesota Roller Girls on Saturday, April 25, one of the oldest leagues in the midwest. Having never faced off against each-other, recent common opponents and scores should prove this match up to be point for point with vigorous jamming and explosive hits.
Ticket prices remain the same — a reasonable $10/$12 for presale (brownpapertickets.com) or $15 at the door. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the action begins at 6 p.m. at Rivertown Sports in Grandville (rivertownsports.com). Rink side seating is first-come, first serve, and all ages are welcome. Grand Raggidy Roller Girls to be Guests at Final Griffins Home Game.
On April 10th, the four best things in Michigan will converge on Van Andel Arena as the Grand Rapids Griffins’ host their final home game of the regular season. These four things are #1) the Griffins, #2) the Stanley Cup, #3) $1 beers and hotdogs (from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.), and #4) the Grand Raggidy Roller Girls. So come on out and support your 2008 Stanley Cup champions, the Detroit Red Wings and your favorite roller girls, the Grand Raggidy Roller Girls, while also getting a chance to take photos with the world’s most famous sports trophy, Stanley Cup, in its only appearance in Grand Rapids all season.
To make the night even better (Can it really get better?), if you buy a $13 ticket from your Grand Raggidy Roller Girls, you’ll get a chance to sit in sections 207/208. What makes these sections so sweet? It’s where your Grand Raggidy Roller Girls will be sitting (or more likely standing) as they cheer on their favorite hockey team—the Griffs. And you’ll get to watch as between periods the Grand Raggidy Roller Girls get out onto the ice to promote the only sport as tough as hockey—roller derby—and the only sports team in western Michigan as tough as the Griffins—your Grand Raggidy Roller Girls.
Finally, there’s one more thing to make this night the best night (Okay, not better than a roller derby bout, but darn close.), you can buy a blue ($1) or green ($3) puck from your Grand Raggidy Roller Girls. Then when the time arrives you can participate in Throw for Dough for a chance to win $5,000.
Van Andel Arena doors open at 6:00 p.m. and hockey action starts at 7:00 p.m. as the Grand Rapids Griffins take on the Hamilton Bulldogs.
Ticket prices are $13 and can be purchased by calling 616-752-8475 or by emailing the Grand Raggidy Roller Girls at contact@grandraggidyrollergirls.com. But make sure you buy your tickets from a Roller Girl as part of the money raised from ticket sales goes to support Grand Raggidy.

As a calm-headed, reliable member she also lives near the venue - often having to store supplies and frequently run back + forth constantly!
Grand Raggidy All-Stars and the G-Rap Attack! to stake a claim to the midwest!
On March 21st, two Grand Rapids teams—the Grand Raggidy All Stars and G-Rap Attack!—will be hosting two roller derby teams—Indiana’s Bleeding Heartlands and Illinois’s Chicago Outfit . So come support your Grand Rapids roller girls as they defend their home turf against these two teams. But buy your tickets early as our last game was a sellout an hour before bout time. Then once you get your hands on these precious tickets, sit in the front row “suicide seats” that line our flat track and watch our All Stars and Attack! girls check and booty block their roller derby sisters almost into your laps.
This double-header marks the second bout of the 2009 season for both Grand Rapids roller derby teams. But come early as tickets go almost as fast as our jammers—Dot Matrix, Jackie Daniels, and Viva la Boom. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and derby action starts at 6:00 p.m. when the G-Rap Attack! take on the Chicago Outfit . The headlining bout has the All Stars competing against the Bleeding Heartland Roller Girls.
This doubleheader bout will take place at Rivertown Sports in Grandville (rivertownsports.com), just a fifteen minute drive from Grand Rapids.
Ticket prices are $10 for presale at brownpapertickets.com or $15 at the door. Seating (including “suicide seating”) is first-come, first serve, so get there early and enjoy the two bouts and between bout entertainment. All ages are welcome. Food, non-alcoholic beverages, and great roller derby merchandise are available for purchase.
PLEASE NOTE: Online tickets are available from Brown Paper Tickets - presale of tickets ends 24 hours before the game.
